Information we ask for

To generate a rental proposal, we ask for a bit of building and unit information necessary to price the properties as accurately as possible — all to ensure that we are offering the best deal for you and your clients.

The information we'll request includes the following:

Contact Information

We need your name, email, phone #, and the full address of the property you want to receive a proposal for (including unit #s).

Unit Details

We need to know the # of bedrooms & bathrooms, total square feet, included kitchen appliances, laundry access, and included amenities. This can be uploaded by PDF, CSV, or any other file type.

Building Details

We need to know the building type (i.e. single-family vs. multifamily) and general building amenities (i.e. doorman, elevator, etc.)

After you submit your property information, you'll receive a detailed property proposal for REZI to lease your property.

If you'd rather lease the property yourself, you'll also be able to view a proposal to list your unit with REZI rather than leasing it to us.

Leasing vs. Listing

REZI has two core products that we offer to our owner partners. Operationally, the products are identical — with the primary difference being found in the agreement structure and rent guarantee.

PRO Plan

REZI will lease your property directly, guaranteeing your monthly rent regardless of whether or not we are able to place a subtenant in the unit.

Once you sign the deal, you get paid the agreed upon monthly rent no matter what.

Standard Plan

REZI will recommend a price and list your unit on our network. We'll setup contactless tours, manage leads, and qualify applicants exactly as we would in a direct leasing agreement.

If we find a tenant within a predefined "exclusivity period" (i.e. 60 days), you'll pay REZI a one-time success fee of $1,500.

Getting Paid

REZI empowers our referral partners to provide extra value to their partners or clients that own vacant multifamily rental properties — and get paid while for doing so.

Here's a breakdown of how we compensate referral partners.

Submission Bonus

A one-time payment based on the amount of verified vacant units you submit to REZI for pricing and potential leasing. The payment calculation is $10 per unit — with a minimum of 10 units per deal (i.e. a $100 submission Bonus) and no maximum.

2% Commission

A commission fee paid at the signing of any deal we close with your referral. The payment calculation is 2% of the total transaction value. After the first transaction, you will continue receiving 2% commissions on all deals we close with your referrals — forever.

Payment Method

You will receive an eCheck for your submission bonus, paid within seven (7) days of submission and verification.

You will receive another eCheck for your referral fee, paid within seven (7) days of lease signing.

REZI Referral Program Terms & Conditions

Deal Submission Qualifications:
Payment Overview
50% of Referral Payments are paid once a qualified deal has been submitted and priced by REZI, and 50% when the proposal is emailed to the Landlord/Owner with REZI (Refer@rentrezi.com) cc'd. Qualified deal submissions and qualified email introductions will be determined at REZI's sole discretion. Payments will be processed by e-check within 7 business days.
Program Overview
REZI's Referral Program pays referral partners for bringing deal flow to REZI. Simply submit a qualified deal to REZI and receive a referral payment of $10 per unit submitted, as well as 2% of the net rent guarantee should your qualified deal close, as well as all future deals with that referred Landlord.

What does verification mean?
Verification refers to the process of REZI connecting with you (the referee) and utilizing external means to verify the following:
How does REZI verify submissions?
REZI will connect with you to verify your submissions and proactively inform you of any submissions that don't meet any of the above verification requirements. REZI reserves the right to deny or disqualify any submission that doesn't match our criteria or is otherwise not applicable with our submission requirements.
Verification is required for payment.
Verification is required in order to receive your submission bonus for each unit. If REZI is unable to connect with you or unable to verify your submitted units, you will not receive your submission bonus. In the event that only a portion of your submitted units can be verified, you will paid the amount reflective of the verified units ONLY — you will not be paid for any units submitted that are unable to be verified.
Referral Program

Refer owners with vacancies and get paid within 7 days.

Receive $10 for every unit you submit + 2% commission on the final transaction value when you refer vacant apartments to REZI.

A few common questions about our referral program.

How does the submission bonus work?
Our submission bonus pays you based on how many units you refer to REZI — regardless if we are able to strike a deal with the owner or not. The bonus pays you $10 per unit submitted — with a minimum deal size of 10 units (i.e. $100 submission bonus). Units DO NOT have to be at the same building address to be considered part of the same deal but DO need to be under the same owner.

Submission bonuses are subject to verification that you represent the owner and the property being referred. Submission bonus payouts will be processed within five (5) days after verification is complete.
How does the recurring commission work?
We pay a 2% recurring commission on the entire transaction value — meaning a $5,000,000 deal earns a $100,000 referral fee. Every referral is recurring as we will continue to pay a 2% commission on all future transactions we close with the clients you send to REZI — forever.
When do I receive my bonuses and referral fees?
Submission bonuses are paid within five (5) days of REZI verifying the owner and property being referred. Commissions are paid with seven (7) days of finalizing the deal and signing the agreement between the owner and REZI.
What type of apartments is REZI looking for?
REZI leases and works with long-term, unfurnished, residential rental apartments in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco. We only accept free market, rent stabilized, or 421-A properties. You can view and download a PDF of our property Eligibility Criteria here.
Does REZI have any materials that I can show to my clients and partners?
Yes, we've compiled a complete Resource Center for your reference and made all materials downloaded for easy access. Here you'll find materials regarding our technology, referral programs, and agreement structures for leasing / contracting properties onto our platform. How does REZI determine rental prices for units not on the market?
Our dedicated research team, in tandem with our pricing algorithms, will review market performance and thousands of similar vacancies in the neighborhood to determine the market rate for your apartments. Our pricing model is optimized to get owners the highest monthly rent with the minimal vacancy downtime — which, in turn, is what allows us to prelease units in bulk and take on the vacancy risk ourselves.
